Last week I was on the way to a networking meeting about fifity minutes from my home and I got incredibly lost. This particular networking group meets at different non-profits in the city so the trip is always packed with anticipation over how and when I will arrive. Generally I find myself off track for a few minutes and it’s easily corrected, but not this time!

I left plenty of time, Mapquested the route and had the phone number of the agency with me and I still got lost. At one point I called the facility where the meeting was being held and I couldn’t get through because the message mailbox was full! I am also very good at stopping and asking for directions, but there was no one on the streets and no gas stations that were convenient to access.

I started to talk out loud and made a request to Spirit for some directions. I really needed a miracle! I let go and trusted Spirit to do the rest. After a few minutes I found myself putting my blinkers on, taking turns and knowing when to change lanes, even though I had no idea where I was.

Suddenly I recognized a street name on the Mapquest map! “Wow!”, I thought, “I must be getting close.” And sure enough a few feet ahead was the street I had been looking for for over thirty minutes. My mouth just dropped open.

What I want to emphasize here is letting go. When we request a miracle, any miracle, we need to trust, have faith and then really let go. Spirit really does know how to drive and after last week, I’d say prettty darn well, too!

Have a driving miracle? I’d love to hear it!

Over the weekend I attended an outside wedding reception celebration at my friend’s oceanfront home. There had been thunderstorms on and off all day. When the event began around five o’clock the rain stopped except for a few occassional sprinkles. Three hours later at sunset we all looked up to witness a beautiful full rainbow gracing the sky. Opposite the rainbow the most amazing vivid pink and orange sunset began to paint the sky. And if that wasn’t jaw dropping enough, at that moment a blue heron flew over the crowd.

The miracle of nature at work sending good wishes for much happiness ahead.

There are certain pets that come into our lives who are unique and special from others we have owned. Murray was one of those pets. He was a handsome strawberry blonde and white tiger Maine Coon whose intelligence surpassed the average cat. There was never a place I took him or a person who met him that didn’t fall instantly in love with him. He was magnetic! He could read me like a book, too.

He wandered into my yard twelve years ago in pretty desperate shape full of fleas and mites and had never been neutered. We guessed he was five years old. It was a miracle he had made it through a winter being outside, but he was a survivor. After much initial TLC he quickly settled in to domestic life.

Unlike any other cat I have ever owned his level of sensitivity was intense and it worked for him as much as against him. He cowered at loud noises and hid in the cellar during thunder storms, but at the same time his keen sensitivity was what connected the two of us spirit to spirit and drew people and other domestic animals to him.

After twelve wonderful years together, on June 29th I had to make the decision to let him go. At seventeen his health had been failing for a few weeks. Then we discovered he had a large mass in his belly that was taxing his breathing. He wasn’t the happy camper he had been all his life. I could not watch him suffer.

The miracle for me was moving through the obstacle of letting him go, of saying the final good-bye and finding myself in an unexpected state of peacefulness. My grief was immense, but there was a calm knowing that he had lived well, contributed in huge way to my life with his beautiful spirit and died so peacefully. I buried him in a field next to the cottage beside a big rock under a sole maple sapling.

Letting go of someone you love is probably one of your greatest challenges as a human being. The miracle comes when you allow your heart, your inner wisdom, to speak the truth. The love you have always felt is the essence, the soul, of the being, not the physical body. This essence never dies, it is eternal. That is the miracle.

Thank you Murray for the miracle of our connection.

I had so much fun being out and about this weekend tagging folks to receive a miracle!

I decided a few weeks ago to have special “Miracle Cards” made. I received the finish product on Friday. On Saturday our 35th annual Strawberry Festival was taking place so I packed a few in my bag and off I went. I found several people, who when I asked, “Do you believe in miracles?” or “Would you like to receive a miracle?” were more than excited to be tagged. Surprisingly, there were others who were hesitant and refused the card. That was certainly OK, no judgments made.

It’s interesting, when we have a dream, a passion, a vision, there’s always the possibility something will try and get in the way of it–an obstacle, right? I could have gotten very discouraged and given up. However, when I chose to move beyond the hesitancy– the perceived obstacle–it became the new miracle in my life.

The miracle lesson–never give up on your dream, see the obstacle as the path to your miracle!

Maybe I’ll be in your neighborhood this summer–prepare to be tagged! :-)

Inspired ideas come through you all the time, but do you always listen? Inspiration, or intuition as you know it, is your connection to Source energy–God, Buddha, Spirit, whatever you choose to call it–and flows twenty four hours a day seven days a week. When you choose to listen, you will receive miracles.

Miracles From The Heart Blog was born from inspiration. Soon after spending a week at a silent retreat in early May inspired ideas began to flow from me. I left the retreat with this powerful message, “Always be on purpose.” In other words, always be moving toward awakening. The question I then had was, “How can I be in business and be on purpose?” I kept asking myself that question until I received the inspired idea to teach others about miracles. Even before that I had been receiving ideas to start a movement of some kind. A movement takes a community and Miracles From The Heart Blog is that community.

I feel so blessed and honored to have been given this “assigment”!

Thank you for joining the Miracles From The Heart Blog commuinity and sharing your miracles. Together we can send a powerful message of hope and possibility in a world full of fear and mistrust.

Keep checking back in for inspiration!

    Love and Miracles To You,
    Maggie
